Stuart Taylor

In 2002, while climbing the ladder to corporate executive, Stuart was diagnosed with Brain Cancer; prognosis 2.5 years. Far from accept the prognosis; Stuart embarked on a journey back to physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual health. Part of this journey included creating The Resilience Institute in Australia to share his experience and philosophy with Australian organisations. Stuart has recently celebrated his 10 year milestone and is going from strength to strength. Prior to joining The Resilience Institute, Stuart was an Associate Director with KPMG and then worked as a senior manager in a global corporation. Stuart has led many of our largest projects with leading Australasian organisations such as GE Money, NAB, Citigroup and Vodafone.

Robert Hart

Madeleine Shaw

Madeleine Shaw is a Senior Consultant with The Resilience Institute. In her previous career as a lawyer with leading law firms in Sydney and San Francisco, and then a major multinational corporation, Madeleine had up-close and personal experience of the benefits of resilience and the consequences for people and organisations when it is absent.

Madeleine’s first steps along the path to resilience began as a participant in a Resilience Institute program in 2007. She became passionate about working with people to help them perform at their best, sustainably and enjoyably. Madeleine is now a qualified executive coach (accredited with the Institute of Executive Coaching) and works with people across a range of roles and sectors, helping them to achieve the success they want in their lives. Her empathic style combined with her switched-on approach gets great feedback and she loves seeing people make the changes they want in their lives.

Thomas Tang

Senior Consultant, China

Thomas leads The Resilience Institute in China and is based in Shanghai. He is an experienced practitioner in East Arts and executive performance enhancement. His areas of expertise include body awareness, optimizing internal dialogue, and handling emotions and stress in crucial events.
Deeply convinced with the benefits of Practical Resilience, especially when combined with east arts and practices, he was the first certified facilitator of the Resilience methodology in PRC and has been co-facilitating Practical Resilience workshops for the past 2 years. Prior to joining The Resilience Institute, he was the chief executive for a US-based Innovation Consulting firm and the founder of InnoLabs Group. Thomas is passionate about bringing the cutting edge Resilience methodology to a broader talent base and future leaders in China.

Laurent Levisalles

Partner, France

 Laurent has worked extensively in the retail industry around the world - from West, United States, to East, China, via Europe, United Kingdom, Belgium and France - for start-up and global companies in the distance selling sector. Specialized in international finance and marketing, he was introduced to NLP in his early days at university. Since then Laurent’s interest for personal development has never faded. Over his last twenty years in the Corporate, where he held several positions as managing director, Laurent has spent much of his energy on people development and management. Laurent is Partner at The Resilience Institute International and co-founder of The Resilience Institute Europe with a focus on the French market where he resides with his wife and their four children. He’s a sportsman and a qigong practitioner.

Benoit Greindl

Originally from Belgium, Benoit founded and developed various companies specialising in commercial real estate consulting. With more than 20 years of corporate experience, he worked in Europe, North America and Asia. After 5 years in Shanghai, he decided to follow his heart, jump into a more meaningful business sector and move with his family to Switzerland.
Joining the Resilience Institute International team, Benoit supports the strategic development of the company and shares the Resilience Institute methodology in Europe. Benoit is a passionate leader, a committed yoga practitioner and a mountain lover! He is married with 4 children.

Alexia Michiels

Originally from Belgium, Alexia Michiels is a professional life coach with a qualification from the ICA (International Coach Academy) and a yoga instructor, with a diploma from the Yoga Alliance (RYT 200hrs). After more than 10 years in the corporate world in the sectors of marketing and media (Procter & Gamble, RTL Television, - Bertelsmann Group, World Federation of Advertisers), Alexia decided to devote her energy to empower individuals to enjoy a healthier and more fulfilling life.
After 5 years in Shanghai, Alexia now lives in Lausanne, Switzerland. She supports the Resilience Institute International team of trainers as a coach and develops the activities of the company in Europe. Passionate about the Resilience integral and practical approach, Alexia is a dynamic facilitator who will appropriately bring a "yoga" touch to her trainings. Thierry Moschetti

Senior Manager, Singapore

Thierry heads The Resilience Institute in Singapore. He has twenty years of business management and development experience in the Middle East, Europe and Asia where he has lived since 2004. As a senior executive with the British listed company Regus, he has successfully established the company’s leadership in the office outsourcing industry in markets like France and Greater China. While moving up the corporate ladder he took a one-year break traveling with his wife around the globe broadening their life perspective and opening their hearts and minds to new cultures.  

Today, Thierry is primarily engaged in the development of the Resilience Institute in South-East Asia. He is a certified trainer in emotional intelligence, an active Qigong and Taichi practitioner and a passionate runner. He lives in Singapore with his wife and their two children.

Dr Sven Hansen

Founder of The Resilience Institute
Sven is a medical practitioner with an MBA who has specialised in preventative medicine, emotional intelligence, cognitive training and stress mastery. With a background in Special Forces and Sports Medicine, he has run corporate wellness programmes since 1988. Sven leads the development of our thinking and methodology; and trains executives and professionals in the application of resilience. He is active in our development into Asia and overseas markets. He has a specific interest in developing leadership teams and the application of biological principles to leadership, strategy and sustainability. Sven lives in Auckland with Susan and two children. He is a keen outdoor sportsman.

Richard Whitney

Clinical Psychologist

Richard’s professional experience covers a wide range of applied psychology, training and development activities. Richard has an M.A. in applied Clinical and Community Psychology and a Professional Development Certificate from the Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology. Richard is a skilled facilitator and coach familiar with working with a wide range of client groups in areas such as performance management, customer service, stress and change management, leadership development and team development. He works at the level of coaching individual through to designing interventions on a Company wide scale. Richard also facilitates planning and strategy sessions. Richard has worked with a wide variety of clients from a wide variety of industries including IT, health, law, manufacturing, engineering and local government. Living in Auckland allows Richard to pursue his passion for getting out on the high seas (he has built a 17 ft Crusing Dinghy and a cedar strip sea kayak). He also has interests in skiing, trout fishing and photography.

Tim Ellis

Consultant

Tim has twenty years of senior management experience. Originally from the UK where his last role was as Financial Controller for Thorn EMI Rentals Europe, he has spent the last fifteen years as a management consultant working with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), IBM Global Business Services and now with The Institute. As a PwC partner and then IBM executive, Tim worked cross-industry (including public sector) and held responsibility for a number of the business consulting service lines - financial management, human capital management, strategic planning and change management. Tim is an experienced facilitator, project and programme manager with a clear executive-oriented perspective on Resilience.

Cameron Arthur

Consultant, New Zealand

Cameron is passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and ensuring that potential performance is realised. Cameron has a Masters Degree in Physics and Electronics, with 12+ years industry experience in designing new technologies and managing challenging research and development projects. While at Navman he was presented with the Marine division Project Manager of the Year award.Cameron has Managed research and development programmes for new electronic products with multisite and multinational teams, managed purely software development teams as well as a Payment Card Industry security regulatory program implementation.

Now with the Resilience Institute he brings a range of technology, business and personal experience to his communication of the evidence based principles of the Resilience institute linking these principles to the real business performance criteria needed to deliver reliably and consistently.
Having personally focussed on extending in the areas of Emotional Regulation and Leadership over the last 5-7 years he continues to grow these areas further at the Institute.

Cameron earned his private pilot’s license in 2005 and enjoys tennis tramping and waterskiing and kayaking. He part owns a Kiwifruit orchard,  where he spends his time when not elsewhere in the world for the Resilience Institute

Fiona Hunter

Consultant, Wellington New Zealand

Fiona Hunter is an experienced strengths-based practitioner, and over the last 20 years has worked to develop resilience and coping skills with literally hundreds of individuals, families – as well as teams - using a strengths-based paradigm focusing on stress and change. She has worked in a strengths-consulting and coaching capacity in both private and public sector - with executives, teams, small-business owners, medical staff, a women’s corrections facility, and individuals in her community. Fiona has provided supervision services for crisis workers, and been part of a service co-ordinating support to victims of crime.

Fiona’s qualification included study in psychology, sociology and social-work – and she began as a strengths-based social worker in Glasgow. Fiona was the first New Zealand accredited consultant in the StrengthScope assessment instrument, and is also a qualified social-worker, is certified in Erickson Timeline Therapy and is also an NLP certified practitioner. In addition to these qualifications, she is a qualified personal fitness-instructor (YMCA London). Over 30 years ago she founded a strengths-based ‘not-for-profit’ dance company for young-people aged 5-15 with profits donated to cancer charity, and she re-established this when she moved to New Zealand in 1999. The dance company is thriving, now including a teenage youth-mentoring scheme – with proceeds donated to CanTeen. Fiona lives in Wellington with her husband, two sons, two Siberian huskies, one spaniel, and five geckos.
